Splatoon 2 Co-Op FAQ

While the overall goal of Splatoon 2's co-op mode, Salmon Run, is fairly straightforward, the different permutations (i.e., local/adhoc network vs online), when you can play online, how you can connect with friends, and the rewards is a bit confusing. We've done our best to break this down and answer some of the more frequent questions about it.What modes support co-op in Splatoon 2?While the multiplayer Turf War, Ranked Battle, and League Battle modes all support teams of players, none of those modes fit with Co-Optimus' definition of co-op. The only mode that supports co-op, per our definition, in Splatoon 2 is Salmon Run.

Co-Op Shooter RAID: World War II Gets Official Release Dates

Starbreeze's forthcoming co-op shooter, RAID: World War II, got an official release date last Friday. Team up with four friends and steal some Nazi loot, while also shooting some Nazis, on September 26 on PC, and Xbox One/PlayStation 4 on October 10 in North America and October 13 in Europe.Outside of the trailer this past March and the initial release announcement at last year's E3, we haven't heard too much about the game. The title's description and footage definitely paints a picture of this being a PAYDAY style shooter but set in World War II Nazi Germany instead of modern day bank heists. I mean, hey, I can definitely get behind the premise, but it would also be cool to see a little more of the game in action. Hopefully developer Lion Game Lion will have something new to show off before RAID: World WAR II arrives next month.

The classic platforming Sonic is back today with the release of Sonic Mania on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. To celebrate the hedgehog's return, which thus far has been met with fair praise, check out the game's opening animation and maybe feel a little bit of nostalgia/excitement for this new entry.Sonic Mania supports two player local co-op with one player controlling Sonic and the second player controlling Tails. The scrolling of the stage follows Sonic's movements, thus it's possible for the player controlling Tails to get left behind, but they're pretty much invincible.

Aces of Seafood Co-Op Stream Recap

We were undecided last night on what to stream for our normal Monday night co-op stream. With Jason late to the party, Mike and I began to troll through the current list of 1000 titles on sale on Steam. And we found this gem for $6.  Aces of Seafood. And would you look at that? It's on Locke's wishlist. So we dove in.What exactly is Aces of Seafood? It's a game where you lead (and breed) a school of sea creatures. Everything is fair game - from fish to lobsters, even hermit crabs and submarines. Wait, what? Oh yeah - you breed submarines. Gameplay is a cross between Rez (techno womp womp), Panzer Dragoon, and a dash of Tokyo Jungle. This is the official Steam description:
