about X hours ago from

Do you ever stop to wonder if the mass of pixels you are controlling is actually excited for their epic quest, or if they're just doing it out of a sense of duty? Happy Dungeons squeals an emphatic "yes" as your anarchic heroes rampage across the country side murdering minions with glee. If you've murdered up to this point, you'll be happy for the new story content, which launched earlier this week!In "The Survivors," your beloved King has eaten something "a bit strange" and is now straight off his gourd. Princess Lily is kidnapped (for the third time) and the King announces his intention to save the Princess alone. Not exactly consistent behavior.Check out the trailer.

Stardew Valley Co-Op Inbound Soon

In a recent tweet from Eric Barone, the developer of the wonderful Stardew Valley, Co-Op is set to find its way into the game officially in ‘About a month’. But that tweet does note that the release of the update is based around ‘all going well’.In game development time frames can change pretty quickly, so this should be taken as a soft schedule rather than hard fact. Further, Barone has released pictures of 4-player Co-Op (via LAN) recently, which can be found here as well as below. While this news is exactly what we here at Co-Optimus like to hear, the inclusion of Co-Op is set to be a PC addition first before coming to consoles.Stardew Valley is a wonder project from Eric Barone (on Twitter @ConcernedApe) working alone on a game which, after a PC launch, found its way onto Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4, thanks to publisher Chucklefish. The game focuses on the player moving to a town, rebuilding an old farm, and helping the city. If you like the feeling of Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing this game (especially with Co-Op) is a must.

Destiny 2's Warmind Expansion Launches May 8th; Summer Roadmap Detailed

Bungie announced last night the latest addition to the Destiny 2 family. The next expansion, named "Warmind," launches May 8th across all platforms. If you're looking for a reason to come back to Destiny 2, "Warmind" might be your ticket for re-entry.No hard details are known yet, aside from that "it will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies," which is as generic a statement that has ever been written. Bungie is saving the sweeter details for a Twitch livestream on April 24th, so we don't even know what the thing is about until then.Bungie, and specifically director Christopher Barrett, isn't about to leave us hanging with zero details for the future, though. They've also published a roadmap for the upcoming "Season" of Destiny 2, outlining their current plans on improving quality of life for the game.

Devil's Dare Makes Its Way to PS4 and Switch Today as Streets of Red

about X hours ago from

Secret Base's co-op beat-em-up, Devil's Dare, is making its way onto the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch today as Streets of Red: Devil's Dare Deluxe. The title features all the same great action as the original PC version, with the added benefit of two new unlockable characters. The game originally debuted on PC back in October 2014. You can read my full review here, but the quick summary: I really enjoyed it. The combo/"Fatality" mechanic introduced an interesting way to approach combat - as you had to juggle a little bit of risk/reward for clearing enemies vs getting the most money (used to revive and buy upgrades) possible - and the "evolving" bosses added another layer of strategy for how you chose to tackle, and in what order, each level. If you're a beat-em-up fan, I think it's definitely worth checking out, especially on the Switch where the "play anywhere" nature means there's always a couch (or bench, or chairs + table) nearby.Streets of Red: Devil's Dare Deluxe is available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $8.99. It supports four player couch co-op throughout the main campaign.
