Latest Hotfix for Dungeon Defenders II Rewards You For Co-Op Play

This past July, Trendy Entertainment dropped some new DLC ("Protean Shift") for their free-to-play tower-defense/third-person action title, Dungeon Defenders II. There have been a couple of updates since then - notably the one last month that increased the rewards received when playing with additional players - and last week, there was a hotfix that refined that system even further. Now, playing with additional players not only gets you more experience, but guaranteed better gear.Adding better rewards for playing with other people was initially done in response to community feedback as players noted that the difficulty increased based on the number of players, but not the rewards. So the initial solution was to just increase the rewards received. This was good, but according to the players, it resulted in a ton of worthless loot. In comes hotfix 3.2.2! With this refinement, players are now guaranteed legendary gear, with changes for additional ones to drop, and they'll also receive an experience boost. Here's how it breaks down:It's worth noting that these changes do not apply to the Campaign or Adventure modes of the game.

Our World, My Story Trailer Lays Down The Basics for Anthem

about X hours ago from

In the newest video for the upcoming BioWare game, Anthem, the developers have laid out the basics for how players will interact with the world and, in return, how the world will be able to influence the player; be it through the people you’ll meet, the places you’ll explore, or the monsters you’ll fight. While the world of Anthem is a creation of the developers, they intentend for what happens in that world and what story the players tell with their time in-game to remain up to them. You can check out the complete ‘Our World, My Story’ trailer below, unfortunately the video shows very little in the way of co-op, barring the jump cuts of combat that feature multiple players. As Anthem is currently set for a release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC come February 22nd 2019, it is likely more details will continue to emerge as the date approaches.Has the video helped sink Anthem’s bite deeper, or are you planning to focus on this upcoming holiday season games before looking forward to next year’s titles? Surgeon Simulator Out Today on Nintendo Switch

about X hours ago from

Bossa Studios' Surgeon Simulator makes its way onto the Nintendo Switch today, complete with local co-op play so you and a buddy can work together to definitely save people and not put a TV where their organs used to be. Nope. You'd never do that. The title originally debuted on PC back in 2013 and gained a lot of attention thanks to streamers. Wacky hijinks are always good viewing. It eventually made its way to the PlayStation 4, where local co-op was patched in, then to a variety of VR platforms, and now, to the Switch. Like the PlayStation 4 version, local co-op play is supported on the Switch version so you can work together to perform delicate surgery with imprecise controls.

The Forsaken expansion to Destiny 2 dropped last week, and we've been taking it for a spin recently to see what all Bungie has tweaked, changed, and added. We have five (yes, five!) "Let's Play Co-Op" videos for you today as show off different parts from the game and provide some in-depth impressions of this new DLC.I'll go ahead and say at the start of all this that while there aren't a ton of story spoilers in any of these videos, we do play through the entirety of the second campaign mission in the first video, talk about some story stuff in the second video, and then show off the Dreaming City in the fourth and fifth videos. If you're interested in thoughts/impressions on Destiny 2: Forsaken without seeing/knowing anything more than has already been revealed, then I'd skip those videos for now.

Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is an ambitious game. In development for the past few years, the game is the first full on sequel to the previous title which saw numerous expansions over the years. The series is famous for it's open world, sandbox style gameplay combined with an incredibly satisfying combat mechanic. Bannerlord looks to build on the foundation of its predecessor but ups the ante with a detailed economic system, siege combat, crafting and more. The one thing though we weren't sure the game would have would be multiplayer. In a recent developer blog, we get our first details. Will the game have co-op?
