Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Co-Op Review

Seven years after the original release of Sniper Elite V2, Rebellion has just unleashed Sniper Elite V2 Remastered on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC. With Sniper Elite III and 4 having already improved on the original formula in multiple ways, does the world need a better-looking version of V2? Maybe not, but V2 Remastered still offers plenty of 2-player online co-op sniping thrills – and it’s the first Sniper Elite game on Switch.

Our Weekend In Gaming: A Most Violent Weekend

Our Weekend In Gaming: A Most Violent Weekend

The Co-Opticrew just can't decide which game should dominate our plans this weekend, and you'd better believe we're at each other's throats about it.  It's all fun and games around here until Locke smashes a bottle over our mantle and starts screaming about how Outward's extreme focus on realism really does make it enjoyable.Once we're done cowering in fear, we plan on playing some of those video games the kids are all into.  We'll be sneaking around Paris, slaying wave after wave of zombies, and building our own pixelated hovels.  Check it out!Mike Katsufrakis (@Pheriannath) - "Maybe The Division 2? Otherwise, gorging myself on barbecue."

New Video Explains Conan Unconquered's Co-Op

about X hours ago from

There's only a week until Conan Unconquered is released on PC, and I'm already starting to feel the effects.  The yard around my office has become more wretched and desolate, neighborhood dogs have taken to snarling at me, and someone's been replacing all my clothing with loincloths.Luckily, I won't be journeying into this barbaric world alone, as Conan Unconquered's two player online co-op will let me drag a friend along for the ride.  In a recent multiplayer-focused video, the folks over at Petroglyph spoke briefly on what exactly the game's co-op entails, as well as the reasoning behind some of their decisions.Conan Unconquered is a survival RTS, meaning you and a friend will be directing hordes of troops in real time as you scramble to defend your poor, innocent village.  As detailed in the above video, the game's co-op mode will be substantially more difficult than the solo experience to account for the extra help.  However, playing with a buddy won't simply double the enemy units, but rather, it will mean the oncoming barbarian waves will feature more complex combinations of enemy types.  Sounds like a fun time, assuming it's done right.

Dauntless Now Available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 With Cross-Play

about X hours ago from

Today, Phoenix Labs' vision of "One Dauntless" comes true as the action-RPG title is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, AND it supports full cross-play/cross-progression with those consoles and the PC version. Playing on the PS4 but a couple friends are on the PC and another is on the Xbox One? No problem. Get out there and hunt those Behemoths with whomever you want on whatever platform you want. This achievement is something Phoenix Labs has been working on for quite some time and the fact that they somehow made it through Sony's draconian cross-play measures is a feat in itself. With update 0.8, you can link your Epic Games account to your Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4 accounts and then you'll be free to play the title anywhere you want!IMPORTANT NOTE: if you have played Dauntless on the PC and wish to link accounts, you need to do that BEFORE you set the game up on the PS4 or Xbox One. You can check out the full details on their "Account Linking Guide."

Watch Rainbow 6 Siege's Two New Operators In Action

about X hours ago from

Last week, we touched on one of the two operators being added in this season of Rainbow 6 Siege's continuous updates.  Wouldn't you know it, Ubisoft has gone ahead and released a (relatively) lengthy gameplay video showing both operators in all their tactical glory.Nøkk, who has already been teased, is an attacker whose focus lies in their ability to move about undetected.  This is presumably explained through some sort of Clancy-esque technological nonsense, but I like to imagine that Rainbow convinced an actual Scandinavian witch to join in on their CQC escapades.  On the more domestic side of things, the defending team is receiving Warden, a good ol' Kentucky boy with fancy glasses that let him see through flash grenades. The gameplay of the above video takes places the Kafe Dostoyevsky map, whose rework also features in this season of updates.  This has probably been repeated ad nauseam at this point, but Ubisoft's dedication to rolling out both fixes and new content to their tactical shooter has been a joy to watch, especially when the game seemed to be forgotten by the larger gaming audience.

Work With Friends to Renovate Homes in Tools Up!

about X hours ago from

Did you like the idea/co-op experience of Overcooked but wanted to do something other than cooking? Well, then you may be interested in The Knights of Unity's and All in! Games' Tools Up! This four player couch co-op title tasks you and your buddies to renovate apartments by knocking down walls, laying tiles, putting down carpet, moving furniture, and more. There will be a series of tasks/improvements to make for each of the apartments you'll be renovating and you'll need to work together to get them all done in time. The one twist to this is that only one player will be able to change the camera angle to focus on different areas of the apartment. I'm sure that won't be used to grief your friends...There's no set release date for Tools Up! just yet, but it should be out sometime this year. Four player couch co-op will be supported in the campaign and the Party Mode, which lets you replay any level you want. The title will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
