Zombie Army 4: Dead War Gets an Official Release Date

about X hours ago from

The latest entry in Rebellion's zombie sniping series, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, has an official release date: February 4, 2020. That's right, just a little over a week before Valentine's Day, you can pick up the game where you can watch a bullet slowly enter and pierce a zombie's heart. Awwww...I'll say that I haven't been able to watch the trailer myself, as it just went live, but... *shuffles papers around* I've been told some highlights are: zombie Hitler, a zombie tank (?!), the trademark "kill shot" cams, and a zombie shark (!!!) So, yeah, if you're a fan of zombies dying in some gruesome ways, then this trailer should have it all for you!All joking aside, the Zombie Army (previous titled Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army) games have always been fun in co-op. They can be quite challenging, but also some mindless (no pun intended) arcade-style shooting galleries.

about X hours ago from

Halloween means all of the best, spooky content for the games we love and Killing Floor 2 is no exception. David Amata, Product Lead from developer Tripwire Interactive, was quoted on Xbox.com’s coverage of Killing Floor 2’s Halloween event, “Grim Treatments.” The update brings five new weapons, new maps, Halloween themed goodies and more. This completely free content update is currently available across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with a trailer below showing off all of the goodies here to help you fight the spooky undead. While Killing Floor 2 was originally released in 2016, the game has continued to receive (often free) content. In speaking about the most recent update in the article linked above, David noted in the article on Xbox.com: “Over two years after launch on Xbox One, we’re still fully committed to listening to the fans and improving the game based on the top community requested features and tweaks. This update we took special aim at improving our Stand Your Ground optional objective to make it feel more rewarding and less punishing for the group as well as refining the Abomination Boss battle to bring it in line with our other bosses. Have a Happy Halloween everyone and see you all on the Killing Floor.”

Our Weekend In Gaming: Who Ya Gonna Call?

The Co-Opticrew is heading to the moon this weekend!  Rumors abound that it's haunted, so we've decided to lend a hand and see if we can get to the bottom of it.  Plus, if any good pulse rifles, gloves, or helmets just happen to be lying around, let's just say we're... happy to take it back to Co-Optimus HQ for further testing. Those of us who are staying behind will be hanging out in browser-based MMOs, enjoying belly-crawling simulators, and squeezing every last bit of fun out of the Kanto region.  Check it out!Nick Puleo (@NickPuleo) - "I've got Guardian duty. Destiny 2 awaits."

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Stream Recap and Impressions

about X hours ago from

Last week, Bungie made some significant changes to Destiny 2. Specifically, they shifted the base game ("New Light") to be free-to-play, revamped how armor works in the game, put everyone on the same equal footing (i.e., level 50 character with power level 750), shifted how a few activities work, added a "Season Rank" (aka, "Battle Pass"), and also dropped a new content update, Shadowkeep. It's a lot to go through, and we did our best to cover it during our "Let's Play Co-Op" stream this week.During the stream, we did our best to divide our discussions into a few distinct sections as we run around the Moon. First, Locke talks a bit about being a returning player to the game and going through the "new player experience." Granted, he has some idea of the general gameplay and mechanics, so he's got some background knowledge, but definitely hasn't kept up with things over the past year. Mike then chimes in around the 13:00 mark to give his thoughts on how things are looking as someone who's played a bit here and there over the past year, and then I take over and go through a bunch of what I like as someone that's played pretty faithfully since Destiny 2's launch back in 2017.

HyperX Alloy Origins Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

about X hours ago from

If you’ve read some of my other peripheral reviews, you might know that I’m a big fan of the HyperX Alloy series of keyboards. The original Alloy FPS (reviewed three years ago in October of 2016) made me believe that mechanical keyboards weren’t all just hype. Since then, I’ve reviewed the Alloy FPS Pro, the Alloy Elite, and the Alloy FPS RGB. Each of these have used the Alloy FPS framework as a base template, offering small tweaks such as additional lighting effects, a tenkeyless option, and different types of switches. The Alloy Origins continues this trend with the main variants this time being the switch type and the most extensive lighting options yet.As with all Alloy keyboards, the Alloy Origins has a fairly compact aluminium frame with a detachable braided USB cable. Unlike some of the other Alloys, there is no USB port located on the back of the keyboard, which means that the USB connection is a single (as opposed to double) USB plug into the back of the PC. Adding to the customizability options, the Origins offers three keyboard tilt angles: 3 degrees (no legs extended), 7 degrees (short legs extended), and 11 degrees (long legs extended). The star physical difference, however, is the switches.
