Wonderful 101 Coming To Nintendo Switch Thanks To Kickstarter

about X hours ago from

Out of nowhere, PlatinumGames announced they would like to bring their sleeper hit from 2013, The Wonderful 101, back from the WiiU grave where it was laid to rest (alongside the console). With a successful Kickstarter campaign to back it that currently sits at over $1,700,000 with an original goal of $50,000, the game is officially returning to Nintendo via the Switch come May 19th, 2020. The game may well find its way to other consoles, as the Kickstarter campaign also exceeded the $250,000 and $500,000 stretch goals are to get the game to Steam and PlayStation 4, respectively.PlatinumGames has had a number of successful and critically acclaimed titles over their years developing video games, ranging from Bayonetta to Vanquish, but few of their titles have co-op components for us here at Cooptimus to enjoy. Alternatively, The Wonderful 101 was just such a game, featuring superheroes, co-op and strong reviews upon its initial 2013 release. While we don’t have an official review for the game, it does rest with an average score of 78 out of 100 on Metacritic. Will you be helping back more Wonderful heroes, or did you snag this game back on the WiiU? World War Z Horde Mode Gets Revamped

about X hours ago from

World War Z was recently updated with the long-requested Horde mode, but in a more recent update developer Saber Interactive has further updated the mode with the goal of having “shorter but more fun and much more rewarding sessions” and “greatly increasing” rewards for the mode, especially after beating round 10. The update is available now across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with more patch notes being available here. While the update has given players more rewards, it has also taken from players, reducing the time players have to prepare for later rounds and reducing the number of resources available to them. Aside from the give and take, Saber has also added side objectives, such as searching bodies, as well as tweaks to joining matches. If you’re new to World War Z and are curious what all of the hype is about, check out the Horde mode trailer below. Will you fight your way into more rewards at higher difficulty, or have you smashed enough undead skulls? Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Next Month

about X hours ago from

Once again, it's time for co-op legends Bub and Bob to emerge from their cryo-chambers and bring platforming joy to gamers worldwide.  It's been quite some time since their original arcade debut in 1986, but that doesn't mean the two's adventures have become any less fun.The latest iteration of the action-platformer franchise is Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, which will be releasing on Nintendo Switch come March 31st.  This time around, our heroic duo is facing off with Bonner, a wicked magician with a horde of (presumably also wicked) henchmen.  Just like in the original title, Bub and Bob will traverse 100 levels in their quest for glory.Bubble Bobble 4 Friends adds a bit of "strategic depth" to the platforming formula with the E-X-T-E-N-D bubbles, which grant players special abilities when collected.  They'll need it, too, as five different bosses will block their path along the way.  Anyone with a twinge of nostalgia for the original arcade title will likely be overjoyed to learn that it comes packaged with the game and offers local co-op for two players.
