Microsoft unveiled a slew of Xbox Series X titles today for their next generation console, and with it came a handful of cooperative focused titles. The one that really caught our eye was from Avalanche Studios called Second Extinction. The game was developed by a sub studio of Avalanche called Systemic Reaction and is their first project. The focus of the game is set in a futuristic version of Earth where dinosaurs return and players are tasked with surviving - and hunting - the apex predators. The game is actually multi-platform with Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC all expected later this year. Expect a beta this summer on PC. It'll feature three player co-op play online. There may not be much traveling or commuting going on right now, but sooner or later, folks are going to start getting back on the road (or in the air), and they'll need their arcade driving games to accompany them. Luckily, Nintendo has just the thing.On June 19th, the Nintendo Switch version of Burnout Paradise Remastered will hit digital storefronts, meaning people around the world will be able to complement their own, slow-paced bus or plane rides with the chaotic speed of Paradise City. The remaster comes with eight of the original game's expansions, including Big Surf Island, Burnout Bikes, and Legendary Cars. The game will run you $50, which isn't a bad price considering the amount of additional content provided. Over the course of its three missions, a group of four all-new characters will battle and sneak their way through dimly lit catacombs, sprawling urban centers, and dilapidated fortresses. The developers have said that they wanted to "push the co-op element" in this latest DLC, so don't expect to breeze through these levels lone-wolf style.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 may almost be almost be three years old, but the game is still going strong. Yesterday to celebrate the unofficial Star Wars holiday (or possibly official?) May the 4th, EA had the game on sale for just $6.
