Rock Band 4 Post-Launch Song List Approaching 200

about X hours ago from

Since the game's release last October, Harmonix has added over 160 songs to Rock Band 4's already massive list of songs. This past weekend, they added three more from Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, and Slipknot in recognition of the "Ozzfest Meets Knotfest" that took place in San Bernardino, CA, bringing the total up to 172.Two more songs - Disturbed's cover of "The Sound of Silence" and Fitz and the Tantrums "HandClap" - are getting added this week, leaving the game just 25 songs shy of the 200 mark. Given that they have been adding about 10 to 12 new songs each month, it looks like the developer will hit that 200 mark by December. All of these songs can be purchased for $1.99 each, and the "Ozzefest Meets Knotfest" songs can be bought as a bundle for $5.49.I'll admit that since its release last year, the latest Rock Band title has fallen off my radar altogether. Still, it's nice to see the developer continuing to add more content to the title to give fans new material to play.

Trials of Azra Co-Op Review

So, your dog's dead. That's a real bummer, right? It was an ordinary afternoon when blam-o, lightning strikes and sends the little pupper to another world. Things start looking a little bleak until you realize you can possess and control your four legged friend. Surely that'll be useful in a world-spanning adventure where you fight sword wielding lizardmen while chasing down a sarcastic wizard?

Our Weekend In Gaming: Fresh Meat

Ladies and gentlemen, I have the pleasure of introducing the two latest additions to the Co-Opticrew: Perron Wiley and Brian Harrison!  Naturally, in accordance with the 1986 edition of Gaming Journalism Customs And Bylaws, we'll be conducting a series of hazing rituals throughout their first week of employment.  Get this:  first, we have them "writing articles", and once that's done, they'll have to "play video games".  Then, once they think they're finally out of the woods, they'll be "telling dumb jokes on Slack".Pretty nuts, right?  Let's see if they can handle it.Anyway, as I've always said, you can tell a lot about a person by the things they do on the weekend.  Let's see what we can gather from Brian and Perron's plans.

Deck the Mall with Lots of Gore in Latest Dead Rising 4 Trailer

about X hours ago from

The E3 reveal trailer for Dead Rising 4 showed off just a bit of the Christmas-themed zombie-killing mayhem that's in store for folks this December. The latest video has a pretty heavy focus on just how much you can mess up those Willamette undead.Long-time fans of the series will likely notice that the voice actor for Frank West has changed. The main reason for the change, according to asset manager Trant Lee-Amies, is because of the 16 year (in-game) time difference between the first Dead Rising and this one. Capcom wanted to ensure that Frank's voice sounded older and better reflected all of that wear and tear. It's worth pointing out that the trailer below is pretty gory, so fair warning.

Remedy's Next Project Will Focus on Cooperative Multiplayer

Remedy's Next Project Will Focus on Cooperative Multiplayer

Remedy is best known for the Max Payne series and the recent TV show/game experience that is Quantum Break, all of which are single-player only games. That will change with the next game.In a news post on their site, the Finnish developer stated that they are changing things up a bit. While acknowledging that they have largely focused on creating "exciting stories, memorable characters, believable worlds and cinematic action" within a single-player context, they want to try to bring all of that into a co-op experience.Single-player experience has always been an important focus for us. At the same time, we want to challenge ourselves to find ways to also expand these elements to include cooperative multiplayer.
