Co-Op Delayed For PC Version of MOTHERGUNSHIP

Co-Op Delayed For PC Version of MOTHERGUNSHIP

Some sad news for folks who were looking forward to crafting weapons with friends in MOTHERGUNSHIP next week. While we knew that online co-op would be delayed in the console versions by a month, it seemed like the PC version would launch with it. Unfortunately, it will be delayed there, too, until August.Developer Terrible Posture Games announced via their development blog that implementing co-op into MOTHERGUNSHIP was one of their big goals as it was a highly requested feature for their previous title, Tower of Guns. Ultimately, though, they were faced with a choice: delay the launch to get the co-op right, or pull it and release it later? Considering they were already planning on patching it into consoles after launch, doing the same for the PC just made sense. The good news here is that the online co-op mode will be added to PC and consoles at (roughly) the same time, and it will also be a free update. For now, we've marked the game as "co-op removed" from our database until it gets patched in.

Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enhanced Edition Stream Recap

about X hours ago from

It's been a year almost to the day since we last checked out Space Hulk: Deathwing. At that time, the game had received just a few of the updates that would eventually be bundled together in the "Enhanced Edition." That version was released this past May for PC and PlayStation 4 so we decided to hop back in and see how things were looking these days in the grim dark future (aka 2019).If you remember looking at/checking out Space Hulk: Deathwing back in 2016 when it was first release on PC, here's a quick recap of the big changes/updates to this version:All of those enhancements really do make the co-op portion of the game feel like a whole new affair. There's something you can sink your teeth into now. It's not quite at Vermintide 2 levels, but it's close. I really hope there's a sequel to this game and that Streum On is able to improve upon the (now) solid framework established with this Enhanced Edition.

Roguelike Action Platformer 20XX Available Now on Switch and PS4

about X hours ago from

Last year, Batterystaple Games brought their vision of a "modern Mega Man X" game to life with 20XX on the PC. Today, that vision is getting some new life as it makes its way onto the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and tomorrow on the Xbox One.The title features two player couch or online co-op throughout the main game mode, with each player controlling one of the two initial characters: Nina and Ace. Both characters have their own unique movesets and weapons, and additional characters can be unlocked by completing certain objectives in the game. The console versions of 20XX will also include two characters that were released as DLC on the PC, Hawk and Draco.20XX differs from its inspiration by utilizing procedural generation to create its levels and incorporating rogue-like elements. Essentially, you only have one life to complete all the stages and beat the bosses. There will be some upgrades you earn along the way, but there only apply to that run. If you die, you'll lose all of those augments and go back to HQ. Fortunately, you can spend some special currency (Soul Chips) to unlock new upgrades that will become available in future runs, and even purchase a few to start off your next attempt.

Monster Hunter: World Coming to PC Next Month

Monster Hunter: World Coming to PC Next Month

Monster Hunter: World has brought more people into the beloved franchise than any other iteration thus far. And that's just been on the consoles. PC players have been waiting to get their hands on the game and they won't have much longer to wait. Monster Hunter: World will officially launch on PC on August 9, 2018.It sounds like the PC version of the game will, at least initially, just be the "base game," i.e., Deviljho and Lunastra, two monsters that have been added to the console versions, won't be there at launch nor will many of the events. That content will get added in at a later date, but no timeframe has been specified just yet. What's more, based on what producer Ryozo Tsujimoto told PC Gamer, the game's visuals on the PC "will have parity with the console versions but we're considering releasing a free update after launch." So, the bad news is that PC players will (more or less) be hopping into the same Monster Hunter: World that launched on console back in January. The good news is that it sounds like they'll be pushing to get updates to the PC version much faster.

Remember arcades?  Those ancient purveyors of sensory overload may be few and far between these days, but that doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to the game cabinets lining their walls.  In fact, once November 13th rolls around, Nintendo Switch owners will have access to a whole slew of SNK's finest arcade titles in the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection.Nintendo has commemorated the announcement of the game's release date with a swanky new trailer.Classic games collections are always great to have, but it's especially nice to be able to access all these titles on the Switch, given its portability.  While we do know at least part of the collection will offer local two player co-op, Nintendo has yet to release the full list of games.
