Beautiful action platformer Ender Lilies enters Early Access in January

In metroidvanias, horror and beauty often belong together. Think of the gorgeous yet dark world of Blasphemous or Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, where the dangerous monsters out for your hide are as likely to be overly large kittens as tentacle beasts. With Ender Lilies, developers Live Wire and adglobe are evoking a similar feel, dropping a young girl called Lily into a world where everything the rain touches turns monstrous. If that sounds like a world you'd like to explore, you're in luck—Ender Lilies will release into Steam Early Access on January 21.

The Hitman 3 opening cinematic shows why IO Interactive were a great choice for a Bond game

The Hitman 3 opening cinematic, which was released today via IGN's Youtube channel, doesn't really give much away. You watch Agent 47 and a stranger travel through Saudi-Arabia, through cities and deserts, by car and by plane. The unknown man presumably narrates the reason for the trip: "A kind of company, known as Providence. To it, we were just assets, to use and throw away, to do the unthinkable, the unforgivable. And it never gave us a second thought, until now."

After someone recently made themselves a Metal Gear Solid V prosthetic, the worlds of videogaming and prosthetic limbs meet once again in the form of a real-life version of Johnny Silverhand's… silver hand. Announced on the official Xbox Youtube channel, this is a partnership between CD Projekt Red, Microsoft and non-profit organisation Limbitless Solutions, which seeks to create and donate bionic arms to children and soon to adults. Limbitless Solutions is also active in researching accessibility solutions, for example via videogame training, which teaches individuals to use technology meant to improve accessibility.

Get a 23 percent performance boost in Cyberpunk 2077 on AMD CPUs

CDPR can't seem to catch a break with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, and the latest industrious sniffer on Reddit, BramblexD, has spotted a small snafu with respect to AMD processors. Basically, it isn't utilizing all the logical cores of AMD's chips, just the physical ones—it seems fine on Intel's chips. So, if you've got a 6-core, 12-thread processor, say, Cyberpunk 2077 will only use 6-threads. This could be holding back your performance quite a bit, so it's worth checking.

Newegg's new return policy aims to cut down on dodgy reseller returns

Retailers find themselves in the unenvious position of trying to fulfill orders for hardware items that are in super high demand, like the latest GPUs and CPUs, while simultaneously fending off bots and scalpers. As part of that effort, Newegg has taken to selling combo deals for the newest processors and graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia. That in and of itself is not new, but what has changed is Newegg's return policy for such things.
