I've never wondered what a $999 computer case looks like, but now I know anyway

In some ways, shopping for a computer case isn't all that different than buying a home. You have to factor in how much space there is and what the curb appeal is like, and then try to fit everything you want into your budget. You might even end up spending more than you anticipated on whatever you decide is the best PC case. But would you spend a grand on an enclosure? InWin is banking on customers doing exactly that.

Wolfenstein studio says it's 'actively working' to eliminate crunch

Crunch at game developers is a particularly hot topic right now, driven by recent accusations of grueling working conditions at studios including NetherRealm and Epic. That heightened awareness is helping spur a backlash against it in some quarters. The CEO of Outward developer Nine Dots recently said that the studio was able to avoid crunch while making the game, and in an AMA over the weekend Machine Games senior producer John Jennings said that his studio is also working to eliminate the practice.

Lenovo built a thin and light laptop for both work and play

There are many dedicated gaming laptops that look the part, which is either a good thing or bad thing, depending on your vantage point. Not all of them do, however. Lenovo's new ThinkPad X1 Extreme (Gen 2) is a good example. From the pictures we have seen, it looks like a sleek business laptop, because it is one, but it also rocks one of Nvidia's latest Turing GPUs for gaming.

Oddworld: Soulstorm's first gameplay video shows crafting, exploration

The latest Oddworld: Soulstorm teaser has what you've been after: Abe doing his thing, rescuing his pals and messing up factories. The previous trailer looked great, but this time we've got some in-game footage to stare at, too. It's still an eye-catching sidescroller with a lot of familiar touches, but it's a lot more than a remake of Abe's Exoddus.

Skyrim Together is still in development despite massive setbacks

Multiplayer mod Skyrim Together reached a big milestone in January, hitting closed beta after years in development. Since then there have been considerable setbacks, starting with the use of code from the Skyrim Script Extender mod without attribution. After this came to light, the beta quickly ended and work started on removing it. That was expected to be a big job, but according to one developer, the entire codebase has now been crapped.

/SPEK.TAKL/ is a free, paranoid horror that recalls Silent Hill 4

/SPEK.TAKL/, or SPEK.TAKL, OK let's call it Spek.takl reminds me of the best part of Silent Hill 4: The Room. It's an unsettling first-person room-'em-up where you're trapped inside an apartment, as increasingly freaky things keep happening around you. Things like: cryptic videotapes appearing through the letterbox, items shuffling around while you're not looking, and, naturally, sudden piles of blood.
