The Largest Working Nintendo Switch In The World Was Donated To A Children’s Hospital

Michael Pick, an engineer that documents his electronics-based DIY projects on YouTube, just posted a new video where he creates the world’s largest working Nintendo Switch. In the past, Pick uploaded videos about creating tiny PCs and inexpensive Tetris gaming rigs, but his latest effort is definitely his most impressive. And once the Switch was finished, Pick donated the hulking console to a children’s hospital!

The video above runs a little over four minutes, but you can tag along and watch Pick’s entire process. “I really like the Nintendo Switch,” Pick says during the opening seconds of the video. “It’s small, it’s portable, but it’s really easy to lose and for me, that was a problem...so I decided to fix that by making something that was a little bit larger, and just a little bit harder to lose.”

Pick’s Switch is a 4K screen attached to two 3D printed Joy Cons. The entire console is 650 times bigger than normal Switches. At 70 by 30 inches, it weighs 65 pounds. Moreover, every button, including the bumpers, work. You can hook up a Pro controller or simply play with the massive Joy Cons that come attached; we’re hoping there’s no stick drift too. At the end of the video, in an incredibly heartwarming fashion, Pick decided to donate his creation to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Here’s Oddworld: Soulstorm’s PS4-To-PS5 Upgrade Path And PC Requirements

Oddworld: Soulstorm launches this week, April 6 but it was recently revealed that the PlayStation 5 version of the game will be free on PS Plus at launch and throughout the entire month. PlayStation 4 owners might feel a bit slighted at their current gen brethren getting the game for “free,” so developer Oddworld Inhabitants announced a free path from PS4 to PS5.

If you buy Oddworld: Soulstorm on PS4, take solace in knowing that you’ll be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. That applies to those buying the physical version of the game; you’ll get the digital PS5 version at no extra cost. Keep in mind that the disc version won’t be available in stores until July 6.

Conversely, those who pick up Soulstorm for current gen while it's free on PS Plus will not get the PS4 version along with it. For those unaware, purchasing multiplatform games on PS5 usually gets you the last-gen version of it too as a separate download. For a glimpse at how the game looks on PS5, check out the trailer from Sony's September PS5 showcase here

Marvel Studios Debuts A Mischievous New Loki Trailer

If you can’t get enough of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 2021 has been a good year for you. WandaVision wrapped up with a bang, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is currently in swing, and Black Widow reemerged with a new trailer and summer release date. Loki is the next Disney+ show scheduled to begin after Falcon wraps up and Marvel has decided to give an early peek into what the God of Mischief is up to in a tantalizing new trailer.

Loki takes place following Avengers: Endgame and catches up with 2012-era Loki after he escapes with the tesseract/space stone. He runs afoul of The Time Variance Authority, who in Marvel Comics is an organization responsible for monitoring the multiverse and making sure that no one fiddles with the timelines too much (sometimes). The TVA isn’t too pleased with Loki using the space stone to manipulate time, so they capture Loki and force him to fix reality under the supervision of manager Mobius M. Mobius (played by Owen Wilson).

Apex Legends Season 9 Promises 'A Ton Of Titanfall' Content

Respawn has done a phenomenal job at ensuring that the Apex Legends experience continues to evolve in a meaningful way. Set within the Titanfall universe, many players have been wondering if the battle royale game would be incorporating more fully with its Titanfall counterpart. Luckily, Apex Legends season 9 promises just that, though we're selfishly hoping that a Titanfall 3 will be coming down the pipeline sooner rather than later.

On Reddit, one player shared a clip with Fuse's "ready" sound that seems directly connected to Titanfall:

A recent roundtable panel revealed the confirmation fans have been looking for, at least regarding Apex, confirming more Titanfall-inspired content on the way. After saying that players are "going to see a ton of Titanfall coming into Apex in one way or another," the panel continued saying:

Black Widow's New Trailer Showcases Awesome Aerial Action

After numerous delays, it looks like we'll finally have the chance to watch Marvel Studios' Black Widow on July 9, either in theaters or on Disney+. This new chapter in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow), who becomes the central player in a conspiracy that has ties to her past life. Black Widow's origin story will be explored fully in this story, and there's a good chance that we'll learn more about the current developments of the MCU as this tale potentially bounces between timelines.

Exploring a future or current timeframe with Black Widow would obviously take a lot of setup and some crazy plot twists, but these movies have taught us to expect anything, even half of the world disappearing and reappearing in a flash.

Fans of Stranger Things will see David Harbour is now a part of the MCU, stepping in as Red Guardian, a Soviet super-soldier who ends up becoming a father figure to Natasha and Yelena Belova (who is brought to life by Florence Pugh). This film is directed by Cate Shortland, with a script penned by Jac Shaeffer, Eric Pearson, and Ned Benson.

Supercell Unveils Three New Clash Games

Supercell Unveils Three New Clash Games

Supercell, the creator of the wildly popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale mobile games, today announced three new games are in development at the studio. All of these upcoming titles share the “Clash” name and characters, but are wildly different in design. Supercell says all of these are early in development, yet wanted to give fans a look at what is next for this beloved brand.

The first game announced is called Clash Quest, a tactical experience against A.I. controlled enemies. The player must strategize against what defenses are in play, and pick the right mix of Clash characters to handle the threat. These characters function much like their Clash Royale counterparts, such as the Prince dashing forward, but are divided up into rows, which brings an entirely different strategy, as you will want to link the same units in different rows to create chain attacks. If you run out of units, it’s game over. If the enemy falls, you win and move on to the next battle.

As you progress, you’ll unlock new unit types, such as the bomber. One new touch is that you’ll also earn different items and weapons for these characters over time. While it appears most of the unlockable characters are from other Clash games, the bosses and villains that you battle against are entirely new to the Clash universe. Some of these adversaries tower over the battlefield.

Outriders Servers Down, Reported Issues For PlayStation, Xbox, And PC

Outriders launched yesterday on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as well as on Xbox Game Pass as a day one addition. While the issues seemed to even out yesterday regarding being able to get into the game, the Outriders servers are down currently. Luckily, People Can Fly is looking into a fix.

The team at People Can Fly took to Twitter to update players on the server status when the outages began to become more widespread. "We are continuing to investigate the Server issues," says the studio in its most recent tweet. "Some players may be able to get back online, but it's not guaranteed."
