Here’s Your First (Non-Bootleg) Look At Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad

What happens when bad guys are forced to do bad things, but for good reasons? That’s the entire premise of DC Comics’ Suicide Squad, and it’s looking pretty good in its first trailer.

Released last week at San Diego Comic Con (maybe you saw the terrible bootleg footage), we get a chance to see Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and the rest of the villains whose arms have been twisted into doing Amanda Waller’s dirty work.

Oh, and there’s a bit of that guy at the top. You know him. He’s the crazy one.

Halo Series Reaches 65 Million Copies Sold

Microsoft is likely to have a huge hit on its hands when Halo 5: Guardians ships. The series has sold in five million copies in the last eight months, bringing the total to sixty-five million worldwide.

Microsoft didn’t dive into specifics, which could indicate that a number of these could have been packed-in with Xbox One consoles. It’s also not clear if The Master Chief Collection counts as one game or multiples.

Regardless, 65 million units is an impressive milestone that is likely to blossom once Halo 5: Guardians arrives on October 27. For more on 343 Industries’ latest, check out our coverage hub from the July 2015 issue.

Free The Witcher 3 DLC Returns With An Alternate Look For Ciri

CD Projekt Red took a little break from its free DLC plans last week. The decision was made to give the team more opportunity to focus on the massive patch that we reported on this weekend.

But now that’s out of the way and you can start getting your freebies again. This week, it’s another aesthetic item. Ciri gets a brand new look.

CD Projekt promised 16 pieces of free DLC, but the studio is also working on significantly larger, paid expansions. We now know those will be about the size of the entire The Witcher 2 experience.

New Releases This Week - July 12 Through July 18

This week, you’ll get to hit the links, kill a god, or just stomp around a city pretending you are an enormous deity. It may be July, but the release list isn’t parched.

Kratos growls back onto the scene with the remastered version of God of War III. We wonder how he would fare against the might of Godzilla, also releasing this week. If you prefer your gaming more leisurely, perhaps EA’s return to golf is a better fit.

Here’s the complete rundown:

Tony Hawk 5 Gets New Online Details & PlayStation Exclusives

about X hours ago from

We're all happy that the Tony Hawk franchise is back and sticking to the original gameplay philosophy that made it a legend, but one modern addition that we also applaud are the game's online features.

The game's freeskate levels accommodate up to 20 people and uses dedicated servers, and as the name implies, you can hang out at these hubs and just skate around with everyone else or drop in and out of sessions with your friends and all commers via the Sessions menu (below). This menu serves as an all-in-one way to manage your party, queue up multiple missions or modes, and more.

Unfortunately, the last-gen versions of the game do not include online play (and are priced $20 less, accordingly).
