Marvel Shakes Up Phase 3 Film Plans, Announces Ant-Man Sequel

With the release of this summer's Ant-Man, Marvel wrapped up Phase 2 of its cinematic offerings. However, the diminutive hero's box office success ($410 million, globally) has warranted an encore, shaking up Marvel's cinematic roadmap in the process.

As Ant-Man’s ending message stated, Scott Lang will indeed return – only this time, Wasp is in tow. The film’s sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp, is in the works, and is scheduled to premier on July 6, 2018. Due to the new Ant-Man movie, two Phase 3 films have shifted release dates. Black Panther moves from its original July 6, 2018 release to an earlier February 16, 2018. Conversely, Captain Marvel, once scheduled for November 2, 2018, now premieres the following year, March 8, 2019.

Release plans for the remaining Phase 3 films seem unaffected for now. Marvel also revealed three unannounced projects slated for the following dates: May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.

[UPDATE] Destiny's Sleeper Simulant Has Been Found; See It In Action

Update: Following yesterday's race to get the Sleeper Simulant, the powerful fusion rifle is now available through a new mission, meaning several players are now using it in the wild. The weapon, which fits in the heavy weapon slot for your Guardian and plays like a handheld rail gun, has been the biggest mystery for Destiny players in the weeks following the launch of The Taken King.

YouTuber ChadTheWedge uploaded a video where he and his raid team went into the Vault of Glass to face off against Atheon, the original raid's challenging boss. Hasbro Announces Transformers 'Prime Wars' Trilogy Across Toys, Comics, And Video Games

According to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter, toy manufacturer Hasbro has announced that the Transformers brand will be bringing its comics, toys, and video games into a single trilogy of narratives entitled "Prime Wars." The first event in the trilogy, Combiner Wars, is currently underway in both the toy and comic universes, but no video game has been explicitly defined as a piece of the Combiner Wars arc to this point.

Following the conclusion of the Combiner Wars sometime in summer 2016, the Transformers brand will move on to Titan Returns, the second part of the Prime Wars narrative. The Titan Returns storyline is set to welcome back Sentinel Prime, one of the most massive Transformers in existence. Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set Detailed, New Captain America Figure Unveiled

Four-player brawler co-op comes to Disney Infinity 3.0 in March, and Captain America loses his helmet for a new figure.

The Play Set, titled Marvel Battlegrounds, uses any and all of the Marvel figures for Disney Infinity and features a new original story. It's the first Play Set to feature four0player co-op and you can find a summary of the story below.

In the original storyline, Ultron teams up with Loki in an effort to steal Asgard’s immensely powerful Infinity Stone. Report: Bethesda’s Battlecry Isn’t Living Up To Quality Standards

You may be wondering why we’re not playing Bethesda’s foray into free-to-play multiplayer games, Battlecry. It seems that the game isn’t coming together as well as the publisher would like.

In a statement given to Progress Bar and confirmed by Eurogamer, the publisher suggests that we won’t be seeing Battlecry soon. “We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it,” a company representative reportedly said. “We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards. The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.”

Battlecry is one of a number of entrants in the growing character-based arena combat genre. When it does arrive, it will likely be facing off against Gearbox’s Battleborn, Blizzard’s Overwatch, Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins, and Motiga’s Gigantic.

One of Destiny's biggest mysteries, acquiring the exotic heavy fusion rifle, Sleeper Siimulant, just got a little less mysterious.

Destiny players have been working together to break down exactly how the weapon is acquired for some time. The first thing you need to do is get all four fusion rifle relics and then you should be able to pursue The First Firewall quest. The Sleeper Simulant was the focus of one our features from when Destiny: The Taken King was one our cover recently. You can read all about the weapon's design here.
