Bloodborne's Upcoming Patch Introduces New Group Of Hunters, The League

The Old Hunters, Bloodborne’s first expansion, launches November 24 but that’s not the only new content coming to the hit PlayStation 4 exclusive.  A new patch is bringing more co-op NPC’s along with a band of hunters known as The League.

The League is a faction of hunters bound together by oath and led by a rather dapper, bucket-wearing figurehead. Players can hook up with this group to gain access to the League’s cane weapon and compete in its online leaderboards.

This new patch will be available for all Bloodborne players, though there’s currently no timetable on when it'll go live.  To learn more, visit the Official PlayStation Blog. For our hands-on impressions of The Old Hunters, head here.

Rainbow Six Siege DLC Operators Can Be Purchased With In-Game Currency

Ubisoft has detailed the post-launch plans for next month’s Rainbow Six Siege. The publisher plans to add a eight new operators and four new maps divided evenly over four “seasons” scheduled throughout 2016.

All of the additional maps and the new modes planned will be free to all players. There are also new weapons and seasonal events planned. However, players will be able to pay for the new operators (600 R6 credits, or $4.99 if purchased in the smallest bundle) and approximately one-third of the weapon skins.

Operators can also be unlocked for 25,000 in-game credits (called Renown). Ubisoft says this represents approximately 25 hours of play. Comparatively, the 20 operators that come with the base game cost no more than 2,000 Renown (starting at 500 for the first one in each counter-terrorist unit and stepping up by 500 for each additional one).

Overwatch Is Coming To PS4 And Xbox One, $60 All Platforms

GameStop (Disclosure: GameStop is Game Informer’s parent company) has received word that Blizzard’s Overwatch is console-bound. The retailer has been told it can start telling customers about the unannounced versions.

We spoke with a local store that indicates it received an email from the corporation indicating that the game will be full-priced on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. All versions are listed at $59.99, with a placeholder date of December 31, 2016.

This clears up one of the big mysteries about Overwatch. We weren’t sure if Blizzard would be releasing the game as a free-to-play title or a standard, premium game. We’re likely to find out more from Blizzcon this weekend.

Play A Game, See The World In Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Companion App, Out Now

Fallout 4 launches next week, but if the series has taught us anything it's the importance of preparedness. While you wait, you can now download the game's companion app for your iOS or Android device. Much of the functionality isn't working – it's a companion app, after all – but you can poke around with the interface, play a game, and even catch a glimpse of the game's map.

The Fallout Pip-Boy app is available on iTunes and Google Play for the cool cost of zero bottlecaps. After the system initializes, you'll be prompted to connect it to your device. Don't fret – go into demo mode to see what each of the menus does in a simulated session. Check out Atomic Command, a fun little time waster that's Fallout's take on the classic Missile Command game. You can also see what a few of the game's perks do, both at their first level as well as as they evolve.

The big thing that wastelanders will likely nerd out on is the map. There's only one icon in the demo, and that's for Vault 111. The image below only shows a slice of the world, too, since you can scroll around. You'll have to use your imagination, but it beats looking at box art for the umpteenth time.
