New Ratchet And Clank Game Releasing This April

about X hours ago from

It's hard to believe it has been 13 years since Ratchet and Clank first debuted, but since then Insomniac's fun duo has continued to capture our hearts. Insomniac's Ted Price took the stage at Sony's PlayStation Experience keynote to discuss more about the upcoming game and movie. He also left us with plenty of footage and provided a release date for the movie and game.

The new Ratchet and Clank game is a reimagining of the first game and based off the upcoming movie. But as Price said, the game is hardly just a reimagining - it features new controls, new planets, new boss fights, and more. After showing the touching scene of how Ratchet and Clank first meet, Insomniac showed an extensive look at the gameplay. It's what you'd expect; Ratchet navigates the world, collects bolts, and shoots up baddies, but the gameplay looks super tight and refined. It's a far cry from the series beginnings and looks to have all the fun we expect from the series.

The new game simply titled Ratchet and Clank debuts April 12 on PlayStation 4. The movie hits on April 28.

Hitman Go Coming To PlayStation 4 & Vita

At Sony's PlayStation Experience press conference today, Sony announced Square Enix Montreal's mobile game, Hitman Go, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita at an unspecified date. Hitman Go was released on phones and tablets in 2014, and was followed up a year later by a similarly designed Lara Croft Go title, which we wouldn't rule out for a PlayStation release in the future.

HItman Go is a puzzle board game that Ben Reeves reviewed, stating that it "provides is a landscape of stunted peaks and shallow valleys. Every now and then a level or objective features a flash of creativity or requires a clever strategy, but these enjoyable moments are few and far between. At the same time, the solid difficulty balancing and continual introduction of new items and enemy types minimizes frustration and provides enough of a reason to keep playing. It's not Agent 47's best performance, but as always, he gets the job done."
