Fire Emblem Heroes is a tactical RPG for mobile devices that provides a new story in the franchise.
This mobile game will feature characters from other entries in the series, including The Binding Blade, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Fire Emblem Fates. Turn-based battles will occur on a 8x6 grid on smartphones.

Fire Emblem Warriors, a spin-off title that has a similar concept to Dynasty Warriors, will also be coming to the New Nintendo 3DS in addition to the Nintendo Switch.

A Fire Emblem game hasn't appeared on a home console since 2007's Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for Wii, but that's about to change. During today's Nintendo Direct, it was announced that a new Fire Emblem game is in the works for the Nintendo Switch.
This title will be releasing in 2018, and is considered a new entry in the main series. No footage was shown, and Fire Emblem is currently its working title.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, a remake of 1992's Fire Emblem Gaiden, was announced for 3DS during the stream as well.

During the Fire Emblem-themed Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo revealed Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
The upcoming 3DS game takes inspiration from the second installment in the series, Fire Emblem Gaiden. It will feature dual protagonists, Alm and Celica, who find themselves amidst a tragic war dividing the nation. Watch the reveal trailer below.

Path of Exile, an action RPG from developer Grinding Gear Games, is heading to the Xbox One this year.

Electronic Arts has revealed its plans for E3 2017, detailing that the EA Play event will occur from June 10 to 12 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. It's easy to speculate that the event will be kickstarted with EA's press conference, where rapidfire game announcements are expected.
EA Play will be broadcast live online, similar to previous iterations of the conference, so that fans from around the world can tune in. Music acts are also planned to take part in the conference, though these haven't likely been booked yet, so it's unclear who these acts will be.

The samurai folklore action game from Team Ninja is nearing its release in just a few weeks. Before the full game hits, you can check out Nioh's third and final free demo this weekend.
It's available on the PlayStation Store to pre-load as of today. The demo will activate and become playable from January 21 to 22. The content featured in this build will include what was shown at PlayStation Experience in December. You can view a short teaser for the demo below.

FreeStyle Games, the UK development studio behind Activision's DJ Hero and Guitar Hero Live, has been acquired by Ubisoft. From now on, FreeStyle Games will be known as Ubisoft Leamington.
The studio was known for games such as the DJ Hero franchise, Guitar Hero Live, and Sing Party. FreeStyle Games was founded in 2002, and was later acquired by Activision in 2008. Ubisoft states that its newly acquired studio will work closely with its studio Ubisoft Reflections, along with its other international studios, to developer triple A games.
In the same blog announcing this acquisition, Ubisoft also mentions that Richard Blenkinsop has been given the role of managing director at the Reflections studio.

The Division launched back in March 2016, but Ubisoft continues to bring improvements and new content to the multiplayer shooter. Last Stand is the third expansion for The Division, though details remain slim until tomorrow.

Square Enix revealed that a patch for Final Fantasy XV is coming on January 24, filled with free and paid holiday packs, along with a "self-photographing feature."
This doesn't just mean selfies, though. The new feature will allow players to take pictures outside of battle, similar to Prompto. You can view the rest of the details of the patch below.
