Ubisoft CEO:

Today's recent Ubisoft E3 presentation showcased a plethora of titles on the horizon including the tactical Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, pirates-based Skull & Bones, and even a glimpse at Beyond Good & Evil 2. However, once again a year passed without mention of Splinter Cell.

In a separate interview taking place as part of Youtube Live, Geoff Keighley asked CEO Yves Guillemot about whether Ubisoft had any plans for the stealthy series. Guillemot had this to say:

I can't say much about that. For sure, all the Clancy games are taken care of. It's just that we have a lot on our plate at the moment and The Division continues to be played and Rainbow Six too. I think yesterday was even one of the highest numbers of players playing...So all the Clancy games are coming along. We are not forgetting Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft Fires Off First Look At Space Junkies

This new VR shooter is targeted to the hardcore shooting crowd. Space Junkes plays as an outer-space jet-pack shooter played in first-person with “full embodiment,” meaning your entire body is realized in-game, including hands and legs.

Players move around a spherical playfield in full three dimensions shooting everything from guns to energy-based slingshots in a competition against other players in either 1v1 or 2v2 combat. Hide behind asteroids and peek around the edge, or grab a flashlight as it floats nearby in micro-gravity, and use it to scout out darker areas. The 3D motion and shooting in this game is one of the more impressive implementations of full motion VR we’ve yet seen.

The game is developed using a unique VR development system that Ubisoft has termed “Brigitte VR” which allows developers to manipulate and design levels while in VR.

Ubisoft Announces New Toys To Life Game, Starlink: Battle For Atlas

The toys to life genre might be getting a little stale, but Ubisoft’s new space shooter could be a fresh take as it lets you build your own starship while you battle to save the galaxy.

Ubisoft is exploring a unique style of collectible play that's targeted at a slightly older audience than the traditional toy/video game crossovers.

Starlink’s story follows the Equinox, a ship set out to the Atlas Star System before it is shot down by alien forces. The action looks similar to classics like Starfox, with a third-person exterior view of your ship as it flies through space, planet atmospheres, and even skims along planetary surfaces like a Star Wars speeder.
