Jared Leto says Suicide Squad cut a whole movie’s worth of Joker footage

“If I were to die tomorrow, maybe the studio would roll something out.”

Suicide Squad has had a typical summer blockbuster story, breaking box office records despite poor reception from critics.

One major gripe fans had, though, was how little Jared Leto’s Joker was present in the film despite being featured prominently in trailers. According to Leto himself, there's a heap of Joker scenes that never made the final cut.

Getting closer to a sci-fi novel’s cover

No Man's Sky creator Sean Murray wrote the game’s first lines of code about five years ago, and although "lots of little details have changed" since then, he said in a blog post today that Hello Games has delivered on its initial goal: for players to "wander around an alien planet, and to feel you had discovered it."

One of the game’s most notable transformations is a visual one. Murray provided screenshots of No Man’s Sky at two early stages to illustrate how the game’s art style changed from then to now.

"Can you please just correct this?"

No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games is working with Sony to retract content claims lodged against YouTubers discussing new details, like the game’s first patch notes. In a pair of tweets, lead designer Sean Murray called said videos that discussed new gameplay elements — even without showing clips from pre-release, early copy livestreams — had been "taken down accidentally."

"To anyone who is having their old NMS vis taken down accidentally, we’re working on it," Murray tweeted. "Discussing with Sony now."

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is not a PokéStop

After weeks of complaints from historical sites and other sensitive locations, Pokémon Go developer Niantic Labs has begun honoring requests to shut down the game in places where one might consider it gauche to hunt for Pokémon.

This past weekend, the city of Hiroshima, Japan, held its 71st annual memorial service for the victims of the atomic bomb that the U.S. dropped on the city in 1945. The Associated Press reports that Hiroshima officials had asked Niantic to remove Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park from Pokémon Go before the weekend.

Report: High-end PS4, codename 'Neo,' to be detailed next month

Live from New York, it's the PS4.5

Sony will unveil an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4 on Sept. 7, according to reports from Vice Gaming and Gameblog. The announcement is said to come from an event held in New York City, similar to how the current model PS4 was unveiled.

Further details remain scant on both the reveal and what the high-end PS4 will look like. The new console is referred to by the codename "Neo," as reported back in April, and is said to have 4K support and other, more powerful specs. Sony itself confirmed that another version of the PS4 was on its way later this spring.

Streaming the game's gonna get harder

Twitch will prohibit Pokémon Go players who use unofficial software, like bot programs and GPS spoofs, from streaming on the platform. Beginning today, Aug. 8, users who broadcast Pokémon Go with the help of cheats will "receive a strike on their account," as detailed in a Twitch blog post.

This could make it a lot harder for players to stream their Pokémon Go adventures, considering the game requires you to actually get up and go outside to play. That’s not the easiest thing to broadcast over Twitch, leading dedicated streamers to find workarounds that allowed them to manipulate their phone’s location without actually moving around.

Where and how to watch Valve’s $20 million 2016 International Dota 2 Championships

At 10 AM PT today, the main event of the biggest esports competition of the year gets underway as 16 teams battle for a prize pool of more than $20 million in The 2016 International Dota 2 Championships at Seattle’s Key Arena. There are plenty of ways to watch some of the best competitive Dota 2 of the year, even if you aren’t here in Seattle to check it out in person.

As with just about any competitive video game now, the easiest way to watch The International is probably Twitch.tv, at twitch.tv/dota2ti.

However, there are arguably better ways to watch the most financially lucrative esports tournament ever. Valve is once again streaming every game of TI6 within Dota2.com, at http://www.dota2.com/international/live/. In addition to multiple versions and languages for each stream, you can also view each match with accompanying real-time information about the game in question, including hero levels, a real-time mini-map, XP and gold graphs and more.
