One of Middle-earth: Shadow of Wars more unstoppable warriors, the Forthog Orcslayer, is being included as a tribute to the game’s late executive producer, Mike “Forthog” Forgey.

Warner Bros. Interactive announced today on Steam that part of the proceeds made from the sale of the character would be donated to Forgey’s family. For every $4.99 Forthog Orcslayer purchase made in the U.S., WBIE will donate $3.50. Forgey died from cancer during the game’s development.

Destiny 2’s first raid goes live one week after launch

Destiny 2’s first raid will go live at 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Sept. 13, one week after the game launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Destiny 2 director Luke Smith announced the timing on his personal Twitter account.

Don’t expect to know, well, anything about the raid before it goes live. “There will be no Raid tease for Destiny 2's first Raid,” Smith said. It’s not uncommon for Bungie to keep the details of Destiny raids tightly under wraps, though that doesn’t stop some high-level players from sprinting through them in a matter of hours.

Busted: The PUBG pan would actually make crappy armor

It is possible to find a pan in Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, and said pan can be used as an offensive weapon to crush the skulls of enemy players. It should go without saying that in a battle between a pan and a shotgun, the person with the shotgun will almost always win. So the pan isn’t a great weapon.

But it also works as body armor when you carry it, because of course a pan can deflect a bullet, right? It might make a crappy weapon, but it should be good protection for your body. That’s just science.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes teasers were hidden in plain sight

Yesterday’s big news out of Nintendo’s indie presentation was that the new No More Heroes game, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, will launch exclusively on Switch next year. Although the trailer was our first confirmation of its title and indie game emphasis, director Suda51 actually revealed both long ago — if you were paying close enough attention, that is.

Remember the big Nintendo Switch reveal livestream from back in January? The eccentric Suda stopped by for an enthusiastic, breathless presentation of his first Switch project: a then-untitled game focused on Travis Touchdown, star of the No More Heroes series.
